Climate Change
Climate change is no longer a distant threat, it is the defining challenge of our time, and we believe that businesses have both the responsibility and the power to be part of the solution. We recognize that our operations, decisions and supply chains have an impact on the planet, and we do not take that lightly. Our approach to climate action is rooted in accountability - acknowledging where we stand today, setting targets for where we need to be, and putting concrete plans in place to get there.
The Company understands the damage potential climate change can bring to our businesses with respect to scarcity of natural resources, Government policy changes, changes in market dynamics and many more. The Company believes that global emission of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) is the major contributor to climate change.
A global challenge like climate change requires global solutions. Climate change is creating opportunities for companies like us who are willing to innovate. One area that Jubilant Pharmova is particularly focusing on is renewable energy, like solar, wind etc. The Company is also focusing on allocating funds to energy efficiency, resource efficiency, green chemistry, low carbon technologies, circular economy, and the use of biomass as a fuel for addressing climate change.
Our climate commitments go beyond internal targets — we believe in transparency, collaboration, and collective action. We report our emissions data openly, engage with global frameworks and standards, and work alongside our partners, suppliers and communities to drive change at scale.
Saving Every Drop
Water is among the most precious and finite resources our planet holds, and we believe that how an organisation manages water is a true measure of its commitment to the future.
Being a Pharmaceutical Company, our manufacturing processes involve use of water. At the same
time, the Company also deeply understands how critical this natural resource is to human life and
ecosystems. As per country-specific regulations, none of our manufacturing sites fall under water
stress or related category. In the past the Company has conducted verification of water related risks
at its manufacturing locations using WWF Water Risk Filter and WRI Aqueduct tools.
Circular Economy - Closing the Loop, Opening New Possibilities
We believe it is time for a fundamentally different way of thinking about resources, production and value. The circular economy offers us that alternative: a regenerative approach where materials are kept in use for as long as possible, waste is designed out of the system, and the lifecycle of every product is extended, recovered, and renewed. At Jubilant Pharmova, we have embraced the principles of the circular economy not as an operational adjustment, but as a reimagination of how we create and deliver value — for our business, our customers, and our planet.
We continously rethink our product design, manufacturing processes and supply chain practices through a circular lens. From the very first stage of design, we ask ourselves how a product can be made to last longer, be repaired more easily, and be recovered more completely at the end of its life. We are reducing our dependence on virgin raw materials by integrating recycled and responsibly sourced inputs into our production processes. Our facilities are increasingly adopting zero-waste-to-landfill practices, ensuring that by-products and process waste are channelled back into productive use — whether through recycling, upcycling, or energy recovery. Every stage of our value chain is being examined for opportunities to close the loop.
But circularity, for us, is not just an internal ambition — it is an ecosystem endeavour. We work closely with our suppliers, customers, and industry partners to build circular value chains that extend the life of materials well beyond our own walls.
Environment
Environmental protection and its improvement are at the core of sustainable development. With this in mind, the Company proactively works towards implementing initiatives to balance the environmental and business needs of the Company and the community around it. The Company has adopted and implemented international management systems and technologies such as ISO 14001 to mitigate environmental challenges arising due to daily operations. The Company's top management is committed towards environmental sustainability, considering which various policies have been adopted like – The Sustainability Policy, Climate Change Mitigation and Energy Conservation Policy, Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Policy and Biodiversity Policy.

The Company not only focuses on hiring the best candidates and retaining talented employees around the world but also ensures appropriate economic growth and environmental protection measures within the communities around the Company.
At Jubilant Pharmova Limited, the Company aims to empower and motivate its employees with global opportunities and regular performance reviews. This creates a rewarding culture within the Company, and to maintain this, we have implemented a well-structured Human Resource Department at corporate offices and all manufacturing sites. In addition, the Company has prepared HR policies and the ‘Code of Conduct’ to retain talent and lower the attrition rate. Employee benefits are applicable to all Jubilant Pharmova Limited employees globally and at all levels. Due to local laws and regulations, some benefits vary by location.

Recognitions
Our sustainability efforts have been recognized and appreciated at many national and international forums organised by institutions like the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) etc. The company also received an appreciation letter from GRI for our contribution towards strengthening sustainability reporting in India and our continued support of GRI’s mission and vision.
To assess our sustainability performance against global best practices, company does voluntarily participate in several global sustainability/ ESG benchmarking assessments conducted by institutions like EcoVadis, S&P Global, CDP and others. These participations not only allow us to understand our position in global sustainability arena but also allow us to understand latest ongoing global sustainability trends, opportunities and risks which might impact our business in long run, if not addressed on time. All our latest assessment score and ratings are disclosed in our annual sustainability report published post third party assurance in our company website.
In addition to our participation some organizations voluntarily do assess our sustainability/ ESG performance from time to time and share our performance score with us. For example, ESG rating agency, NSE Sustainability Ratings & Analytics Ltd assessed and rated our ESG performance in April 2026 and our score was 71 out of 100 placing us under the category of ‘ESG Leader’.
